Our Specialists' Opinion

The range of boxing gloves is vast and every model is different. How do you find out what sets them apart and which model best matches your needs? To give you a clear overview of the characteristics of our boxing gloves, Rumble Store rates each model on a set of key features.

This is how our martial arts specialists at Rumble Store assess the model on a number of general characteristics. Once you know which features matter most to you, check here whether they match your preferences.

Padding

Padding refers to the amount of foam used across the knuckles. It protects your hands and your training partner. If you suffer from sore knuckles, we recommend opting for thick padding. Beginners should choose average to good padding. When the coloured bar is all the way to the right, the padding is very thick. When it is all the way to the left, the padding is average but still sufficient for effective training.

Fit

The fit of the gloves is important for comfort, and everyone has a personal preference. When the coloured bar is all the way to the left, the gloves are suited for a narrow hand or for those who prefer a snug fit. All the way to the right means the glove fits wide. In our experience, most people find an average fit the most comfortable.

Wrist Support

Many athletes experience wrist discomfort during training. Many brands therefore pay extra attention to reinforcing the wrist area of their gloves. If you have weak wrists, we recommend gloves where the coloured bar is all the way to the right.

Level

For the level rating, our specialists have assessed which target group these gloves are most suited for. When the coloured bar is all the way to the left, the gloves are perfect for beginners. All the way to the right means they are designed for very intensive, advanced use.

The Green Hill polyester wraps are an absolute must-have for any athlete who values joint protection.
These elastic wraps conform perfectly to your hand and provide a secure and comfortable fit thanks to thumb loops and Velcro closure. They are designed to fill the space between the hand and the padding in the boxing glove and provide extra cushioning on the wrapped areas.

Easy to use & effective protection
Especially for beginners, these elastic wraps are easier to use because they are stretchier than cotton wraps. Despite their elasticity, they offer excellent protection and support for your hands. A major advantage is their stretchability, which allows them to be tightly and accurately wrapped around the hand. This also helps protect your boxing gloves from rapid wear and extends their lifespan – a sustainable approach.
Important note: always be careful not to wrap the bandages too tightly to ensure adequate blood circulation in your hands.

Recommendation for boxing gloves with wrist protection
Boxing gloves with integrated wrist protection are often very snugly cut to provide maximum support.

Tip for heavy sweaters
If you tend to sweat more, we recommend cotton wraps. They are particularly absorbent and can therefore take up more sweat. With a little practice, wrapping will surely become easier for you.

Protect your hands and gear optimally with the Green Hill elastic polyester wraps!
