Bandage VS Inner Gloves

One of the frequently asked questions is whether we recommend bandages or inner gloves. Below we have listed the pros and cons of both products:

Advantages of bandages:
Stability and Support: Bandages provide excellent stability to the knuckles and wrists, which is essential to prevent injuries during boxing.
Boxing gloves fit better: By wrapping the bandages, your hands become slightly thicker, causing the boxing gloves to fit more firmly and compactly.
Extension of Boxing Glove Lifespan: Bandages help absorb sweat. This results in less sweat entering the boxing gloves and extends their lifespan.
Gloves stay fresher: Bandages should be washed after every training session. This results in less sweat entering the boxing gloves and keeps the gloves smelling fresher.

Disadvantages of bandages:

Wrapping bandages: Putting on bandages takes approximately 1 minute per hand. The advantage is that it can be done in countless ways, so find your own method. On YouTube you can find various videos or alternatively ask your trainer/training partner.

Moving on to inner gloves:

Reinforcement: Inner gloves provide extra protection to the wrists and knuckles while wearing boxing gloves.
Sweat absorption: They absorb sweat, keeping the inside of the boxing gloves drier and reducing unpleasant odours.
Easier to put on: Inner gloves are generally easier to put on than bandages, especially for beginner boxers.

Disadvantages of inner gloves:
Less stability: Compared to bandages, inner gloves offer less stability and support for the knuckles and wrists.
Less comfort: Inner gloves often feel less comfortable inside boxing gloves than bandages.
Final advice: we recommend using bandages during your training sessions! The main reason is that bandages provide more firmness and comfort and absorb more sweat than inner gloves.
